Terms of Use

1. Who can use Athzy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. One person, one account. Keep your password private — you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at hello@athzy.in if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

2. What Athzy does

Athzy helps you discover sports events and tournaments, reserve sports venues, form and join teams, and talk to other players and organisers. Events are run by their organisers and venues by their owners. Athzy is the platform that connects you; we are not the organiser of third-party events or the operator of venues unless we say so.

3. Bookings, tournaments and payments

• No payment is taken in the app. Venue fees, event tickets and tournament entry fees shown in the app are paid at the venue or as the organiser instructs. Prices are set by venues and organisers and may include peak rates.
• You can cancel a venue reservation or event registration in the app until it starts. Captains can withdraw a tournament entry; team members can leave a team. Venues and organisers may have their own rules about no-shows, late arrival or refunds of anything paid to them.
• Captains are responsible for the team: only add people who have agreed to join and to share their details, and keep the roster accurate.
• Organisers and venues may change or cancel events, fixtures or time slots. We will show changes in the app when we receive them, but we are not responsible for their decisions.
• Sport involves physical risk. You take part at your own risk, follow the venue's and organiser's rules, and are responsible for being fit to play.

4. Community rules — zero tolerance

Athzy has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, send or share anything that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or targets anyone, including hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other characteristic;
• is sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexualises minors in any way;
• promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism, illegal drugs, gambling or other illegal activity;
• is spam, scams, fake events, misleading offers, or impersonates another person or organisation;
• shares someone's personal information (phone, address, photos) without their consent;
• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
• contains viruses or tries to break, overload or misuse Athzy.

You also must not create fake accounts, scrape data, or use Athzy to send unsolicited messages.

5. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• Report a post from its menu, a chat message by long-pressing it, or a member from their profile.
• Block a member from their profile: you will stop seeing each other's posts and messages, and any connection and follows between you are removed.
• We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms — with or without notice — and may report illegal content to the authorities.
• You can also contact our Grievance Officer (section 12).

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (posts, comments, messages, poll answers, team names). You give Athzy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content within Athzy so the service works (for example, showing your post in the community feed or your message in a chat). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already received it (such as a message sent to them) or where we must keep it for safety or legal reasons. You are responsible for what you post.

7. Third-party services

Some information comes from others: event details from organisers, venue information from venues, and venue ratings from Google. We do not control it and cannot guarantee it is accurate. Opening directions takes you to a maps service under its own terms.

8. Our service

We work to keep Athzy available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". We may change, add or remove features, and the service may sometimes be interrupted. The Athzy name, logo and app belong to us; you may not copy or reuse them without permission.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Athzy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the acts of venues, organisers or other members, or for injuries or losses arising from taking part in sport. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) — see Delete your account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we will show the new effective date and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Athzy after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction.

Apple

If you downloaded Athzy from the App Store: these terms are between you and Athzy, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not liable for claims about the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
